As I awoke in the early morning of June 12, I was deeply saddened by the tragic news of the horrific and senseless act that took place in Orlando, Florida.
Today, June 12 2016, like most decent people, I offer my condolences to all the victims and their families of this horrific mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub. There is no justification in murdering people based on their race, religion, sexual orientation or ethnicity.
As the country mourn the deaths of the(se) 49-innocent fellow human-beings, I share in the nation's grief: And I will keep praying for those affected.
Gun Kills
To the NRA devotes gun's advocates and misguided, self-serving, pandering-politicians across the nation who proclaimed that, "GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE DO" or that "GUNS POSES NO RISK OF INJURY TO OTHERS IN AND OF ITSELF" this is wrong, no matter what your allegiance, or where you stood in the political spectrum, this is pure and unadulterated nonsense: Gun Kills!
As observed, there is good evidence that no offender ever shoots a victim, or decides to engage in a shooting without a gun in his or her possession at least of the type at issue in the Orlando massacre. So guns do kill!
As the foregoing incident demonstrates, Mateen could not have committed this murderous rampage then on or before June 4th, 2016; but, instead, on June 12th only after he purchases and was in possession of his tools of destruction.
While conceding that it is of course, true that the Second Amendments guarantee law-abiding citizens the Rights to Bear Arms, in the face of imminent mass shootings, the process of refusing to apply laws that could prevented Sunday's massacre ____ prohibited guns from falling in the hands of deranged people, while explicitly exempting law-abiding gun owners ___ is pathetic and disgraceful.
The United States law makers have a duty to push through ballot initiative(s) that provide appropriate safe-guards and to protect its citizens from unreasonable risk of physical carnage(s). In short, citizens have a right to be protected from being mowed-down by mad people who could easily acquired guns from unscrupulous, unconscionable/money-grubbing gun dealers. Weapons of mass destruction does not belong in the hands of deranged people. Weapons of war does not belong on our streets, gun kills, that is their main purpose.
Let this incident become the catalyst for change. Duking politicians stop exhibiting dereliction of duty: save lives.
